Estimating the global burden of labour exploitation and its impact on health of migrants: Improving health outcomes and health-system responses to labour exploitation
This PhD research project offers students the opportunity to contribute internationally influential evidence on the global burden of labour exploitation on health. The student will gain skills in advanced statistical methods, modelling methods – specifically modelling to estimate the global burden of diseases – skills in health economics and qualitative tools to use in a mixed-methods study. Further, the student will gain cutting-edge knowledge of understudied subjects, including labour exploitation, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour and occupational health and safety among low-wage workers.
