Rafael Gomes França

Rafael Gomes França holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Brasília (UnB), a master’s degree in Management and Public Health from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), and is currently a PhD candidate in Global Health and Sustainability at the School of Public Health (FSP) at the University of São Paulo (USP).

He also coordinates a Research Group on Migration, Refuge, and Global Health, as a result of a partnership between USP and the Center for International Health Relations at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). He worked for several years in the International Advisory Office of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, specializing in health and borders, South-South cooperation, and migration. He also worked as a national consultant for PAHO-Brazil, in the Public Health Emergency Unit, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
