Researcher and professor at the University of Costa Rica’s School of Public Health. She holds a degree in Sociology from the National University and a Nursing degree from the University of Costa Rica, where she also completed the Central American Postgraduate Master’s in Political Science.
With over eight years of experience in teaching and research, she has contributed to the School of Public Health, the School of Nursing, and the Center for Research in Nursing and Health Care (CICES) at the University of Costa Rica. Her expertise spans across health systems and services, social protection systems, health and migration, as well as the design, management, and evaluation of health policies and programs, with a focus on health equity.
Currently, she serves as the coordinator of the Joint Initiative on Health and Migration (INCOSAMI) and is an active member of the Network of the Americas for Health Equity (RAES) and the Latin American Alliance for Global Health (ALASAG).
