Dr. Michael Knipper

Physician. Professor for Global Health, Migration and Medical Humanities at the University of Giessen, in Germany. He conducted anthropological research on indigenous health in Ecuador and the history of social medicine in Peru. He has been working for the last 15 years on health and migration, with a focus on social determinants, health policies and human rights. He was a member of the Lancet Commission on Migration and Health, 2017—2018.
