Diego Borjas is a Health Administrator with an international specialization in Project Management and Research Grants. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health and Global Health.
He has extensive experience as a National PAHO Consultant at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). Previously, he worked as a Consultant for the Andean Health Organization (ORAS-CONHU), and as a Research Coordinator at the Hospital de Emergencias Villa El Salvador (HEVES) in Lima, Peru. He also served as the technical and administrative secretary of the Institutional Research Ethics Committee and the Coordinator of the Research Center. Additionally, he managed several health organizations and was the general administrator of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute of Tropical Medicine at UPCH Peru for over 10 years.
Currently, his interests focus on Epidemiology, Data Science, Social Determinants of Health, and vulnerable populations, including Indigenous and Andean communities.
